March 31st

Today was very sad! We went to the Concintration Camp in the mountains. They were beautiful and we saw some snow.. but the museum was very sad. Today I learned about when the people got whipped for doing things wrong.. they usually got around 50 lashes and most died before the 50 were over. I also learned that the people commited suicide alot and hung themselves so they didn`t have to live the terriable life. I saw where they were isolated as a punishment and cramed in a small room for a long time until they died without being able to lie down, sit, or stand. It was very sad.. but I noticed that the place where we were was a very important place to be quiet and respect that many people died there and should be respectful about that.

March 29th

Last night I slept very very good. I was tired from being on the plane all night on friday and early saturday morning. But I got lots of sleep! 14 hours! This morning I got to meet Marie`s father- he was very nice. Marie was not there this morning because her, Flore, and some other students went to an overnight church camp saturday. We went to the Catholic church Sunday morning. I didn`t understand anything but it was a great expeiriance. Right after church Grey, and I took a tour of Strasbourg with Flore`s mother- Carine. Strasbourg was so beautiful! I loved it.

March 28th

The bus ride to Strasbourg was fun. We were all singing with the french students! After the long bus ride we met the parents. Her mother was so so nice! When we got to her home, only her younger brother (paul) was there. He was very nice as well. I unpacked my suitcase and we later had flore, grey, orianne, morgan, and erin came over to hang out. It was a busy day. When I layed down I fell right asleep!

Friday, March 27th

Today was the day we left for France! I went to the airport around 4p.m. to leave for Charlotte at 630. Since I have never flown, I was very bored having to wait for 2 hours just to get on the plane. I was very scared to fly.. but I was okay:) haha. Now the next thing I have to do is get used to this keyboard im typing on. Anyways; After flying to Charlotte we got something to eat. I was so hungry. Thankfully we didnt have to wait very long for the plane to arrive for Strasburg! I was sooo tired and just wanted to get on the plane and sleep. But of course... I couldn`t. After that flight we arrived in Frankfurt, Germany at about 10 or 11? And we were unexpected greeted by some of the French students! We had to taka a 3 hour bus ride to get to Strasburg, France.
